Don't Believe Everything You Hear!

Age Groups: 8 and up

Key Areas in Philosophy

  • Epistemology- Theory of Knowledge and Understanding
  • Logic and Argumentation

Description:

Between the internet, the media, and the important people in our lives, we’re given a lot of facts and ideas.  However, getting a lot of information isn’t always the same as getting useful information. This workshop introduces thinkers from a variety of historical eras who weren’t afraid to ask for proof and seek the truth.  Students learn to analyze the messages they encounter, and recognize what makes a good argument.
